Description

Learn the foundations of using configurable joins in Slate. We'll take you on a journey through joins—starting at the base. Attendees will learn more about the data tables in Slate and best practices for navigating one-to-many relationships through subqueries. We'll also explore the power behind subquery filters and exports for outputting and filtering data.

This course is appropriate for Slate users who have limited to moderate experience with querying using Configurable Joins and would like to learn more about best practices for pulling data in Slate.

Description

Deconstruct a funnel report with us! In this course we'll highlight configurable joins concepts you need to create efficient and accurate reports in Slate. We'll discuss the benefits of Configurable joins over traditional query base reporting, and demonstrate how to use features like subqueries and query libraries to your best advantage.

This course is intended for Slate users with a basic knowledge of Configurable Joins who frequently build queries and would like to gain more experience with reports. Attendees should be familiar with the reports tool and have moderate experience building queries in Slate, using either local bases or configurable joins.

Description

Learn the foundational skills required to create, modify or update portals in Slate. Attendees will learn the relationship between a portal query, method, and view, and how these change with the scope of the portal. Use cases will include the creation of an application status portal, a campus visit portal, and a user-based portal.

This course is appropriate for Slate users who have limited experience with Slate portals and would like to learn more about portal configuration and use cases.

Curious about integrating custom datasets and entities into your process? This course will review the core components and key differences between these two data types and discuss when it is appropriate to use each. Attendees will gain experience creating datasets and entities and managing their data in Slate.

This course is intended for users familiar with Slate's data structure who are seeking to maximize the use of data relationships in their database. Attendees should be comfortable creating fields, prompts and records in Slate.

Description

Leverage configurable joins to level up your communications! This course will share how to pair subquery exports with content blocks and liquid markup to dynamically share data and personalize messages to your records. We’ll explore how to use subquery filters to target records in more meaningful and flexible ways.

This course is intended for Slate users who work with marketing and communications, send mailings using Deliver and post content to portals. Attendees should have a basic understanding of Deliver and Query.

RHB Academy virtual courses are offered starting at $150. In-person sessions start at $450.

Who Should Attend

All Slate users regardless of role or level of expertise are welcome and you do not need to be an RHB client to attend. Courses will be offered on specific topics that will be of interest to operations, admissions, marketing and recruitment staff looking to build their Slate skills.

Virtual Course Format

Virtual courses will be held over Zoom. These sessions will be capped at 30 attendees to make sure that all who register are able to participate meaningfully in the training opportunity, interact with and ask questions of our Slate experts.
