Join us at RHB Academy at Texas A&M University, Building Connections with Portals, and learn how to build connections between your data, your constituents and your institution.
This two-day training will cover the foundational skills necessary to build portals in Slate and connect them to relevant data. Attendees will learn how to query using Configurable Joins and create custom datasets and entities to store related data that can be brought into user-aware portal views. We'll explore use cases for custom datasets and entities to store academic program information, and build portals to connect this data to both applicants and faculty. The configurations of these use cases can be applied to any need to present data to records and end users.
RHB Academy is open to all Slate users. The training is designed for users with a beginner-intermediate skill level. More advanced topics will be discussed and demonstrated, but users who are relatively new to Slate will be able to complete all activities.

Cost
Registration is $850 per person. This includes attendance at both days of the training. Lunch will be provided on Thursday and an assortment of coffee and tea will be served each morning.
Who Should Attend
All Slate users regardless of role or level of expertise are welcome and you do not need to be an RHB client to attend. The instruction will touch on some advanced topics but will be rooted in the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in Slate.
Location
The event will be held on Texas A&M University's main campus in College Station, TX.
Accommodations
Texas A&M has its own on-campus hotel, located just a 5-10 minute walk from the site of RHB Academy: Visit the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center.

What to Bring
Please bring a laptop computer; we recommend that you also bring a charging cord and any tools you prefer to use for taking notes. RHB will provide attendees with further instructions on how to provision and configure a Clean Slate environment prior to the event.
Cancellation Policy
Registrants who cancel by December 20, 2024 will have the option of receiving a full refund of the $850 registration fee or transferring registration to another member of their institution. For cancellations after December 20, RHB will transfer registration to another member of the institution upon request.
